Insight Global P&C Substation Design Engineer in Fort Mill, South Carolina
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a mid-to-senior level Protection and Controls Engineer for an engineering client located in Fort Mill, SC. The P&C Engineer will act as a vital team member to the Substation Department for the purpose of delivering and safeguarding system design for power equipment. This individual will contribute to project development (project scheduling, proposal development) and be hands-on with various substation equipment specifications. Additionally, the engineer will perform necessary testing and commissioning on &C systems and schemes (medium and high voltages), equipment testing, and lead projects of various complexity. Candidates must come from a substation design background and have extensive knowledge of P&C communication protocols and safety procedures, as they will verify proper protection system operations.

Skills and Requirements
5-7 years of RECENT P&C design experience
Previous work experience with substation design; including protection schemes, control systems, and communication protocols
Engineering Degree (Electrical Engineering preferred, mechanical or civil)
Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation
Great communication skills (will be working across multidisciplinary teams at POWER, with opportunities for project lead) Relevant work experience with AutoCAD Electrical, Vault, and BIM Electrical
