JOB DESCRIPTION

The Pegasus program is a collaborative coalition partnership between the Five Eyes (FVEY) military nations that consists of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and the United States. The program’s objective is to provide a wide array of information sharing capabilities (email, phone, video, and chat) to enable a variety of contact options for FVEY coalition warfighters promoting consistent and seamless collaboration opportunities at both a national and international level.

We are seeking qualified candidates to operate and maintain Pegasus, which directly support US military forces and US Coalition members with critical war planning and warfighting capabilities. The Pegasus team will test, deploy, operate, sustain, and maintain all Pegasus networks, services, and applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.

  • Maintains the integrity and security of systems.

  • As required, supports users with completing requests for deployment of new services.

  • Maintains system documentation.

  • Provides desk side support to users and evaluates vendor products.

  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.

  • Supports the application of server STIGs, patching, tenable, ACAS, SCCM, and IAVA vulnerabilities.

  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

  • May program in an administrative language.

  • Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.

  • Provides advice and training to end-users. 

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. 

  • Participates in special projects as required.

  • Adheres to the principles, methods, and techniques used in system administration and support.

  • Maintains/enhances knowledge of related hardware and software.

  • May require professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment.

  • Will occasionally be required to perform networks, DTS, information assurance and logistics duties.

  • May be required to work outside of “normal” work hours to include weekends and holidays.

  • May be required to support operations in austere and/or remote locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 – 10+ years of experience required.

  • BA/BS degree – may substitute additional years of experience.

  • Must possess and maintain a SECRET Clearance. 

  • Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II (Security+ or equivalent) access.

  • Must have solid understanding of common IT infrastructure services to include DNS, DHCP, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting multinational customers preferred.

  • Experience with user, administrative and service account creation, and management.

  • Experience with direct customer support for both internal and external customers.

  • Experience with Group Policy, and Windows PowerShell.

  • Experience with Multiple OS’ and Scripting Languages

  • Experience with the principles, methods, and techniques used in Microsoft Server 2016, 2019, AND 2022 administration, troubleshooting and support.

  • Experience with implementing and maintaining systems documentation.

  • Experience with developing training for both internal and external customers.

  • Experience with managing, monitoring, and responding to key server infrastructure alerts.

  • Experience with ServiceNow, MECM, and Exchange technologies.

  • Experience with Nutanix, Horizon View, and other virtualization technologies.

The likely salary range for this position is $88,275 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
