ManTech System Administrator in Fort Meade, Maryland

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our team in Fort Meade, MD. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Maintains, configures, and ensures the reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. * Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes. * Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues. * Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure. * Performs Kubernetes system administration in a DevOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) environment. * Design the architecture for an enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure to support a CI/CD pipeline. * Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures. * Lead desktop and help desk support efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions. * Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance, and monitoring and managing all installed systems and infrastructure. Minimum Qualifications: * 5 years of position-specific relevant experience. * Bachelors degree in an IT or related discipline or 4 additional years of experience* DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-II Certification within 6 months of commencing work on the TDL. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelors degree in Systems Administration or Engineering. * Relevant industry standard certifications such as Microsoft, Red Hat Linux, AWS, or VMWare. * Experience with scripting languages and automation tools such as Ansible, Salt or Puppet. Clearance Requirements: * Must have a current/active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time. * Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel. * Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.  #cyber1234
