Key Tasks:

DCCA is looking for TS/SCI w/Polygraph cleared Junior to Mid-Level Systems Administrators with Linux and Windows experience! We have multiple positions open in the Fort Meade/Annapolis Junction area.

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.

  • Manage IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.

  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.

  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.

  • Configure and manage Linux, UNIX and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshooting, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

  • Optimize system operations and resources utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning

  • Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems

    Required Skills:

  • Must have experience supporting multiple operating systems, such as Linux, UNIX and/or Windows environments.

  • Experience with virtualization (to include VMware specifically)

  • Some scripting experience

  • IT troubleshooting experience

  • Interest/desire in learning new skills/technologies

    Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with networking concepts, or a background in network administration is a plus

  • Storage-Netapp/EMC

  • NiFi

  • Ability to create/write scripts and modify existing scripts – bash, perl, shell, python, etc.

  • Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification

  • Experience working in a customer service/Tier 1/Tier 2 environment

  • Dataflow experience

    Required Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of related experience; or 10 years of experience as a System Administrator without a degree.

    The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is 118,000 to 152,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
