Job Summary:

Compass Point is looking for a Solutions Architect III to work at Fort Meade, MD.

Support EM in mission partner engagement efforts through supervised participation in forums, working groups, meetings, technical exchanges, and conferences as specified by the Government. Support DoD and Federal Agencies, as they explore, evaluate, implement, and administer specialized modernization, innovation, and management projects to rapidly enhance the ability of space, air, ground, and sea forces to respond to evolving mission operational needs, tasking, and tactics.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Involved in information dissemination activities and general outreach activities relating to the program office mission and functions for the purpose of making potential users aware of the capabilities of DISA initiatives and obtaining other partner participation.

  • Provides support for personnel for the planning, execution and any follow-on activities related to demonstrations/conferences related EM-wide activities.

  • Works closely with the project/program coordinators and the technical managers to identify potential outreach activities

  • Involved in program reviews and integrated process teams, both internal and external to DISA, and shall work with the Government in documenting participation at key events.

  • Reviews documents coordination and control services to ensure all systems are properly documented in accordance with approved DoD and DISA standards and in accordance with guidance appropriate to the type of project.

  • Conducts technical evaluation and enterprise service management that includes technical support and evaluation, program assessment, outreach, collaboration activities, and risk management for innovation efforts with DISA equities across the DoD spectrum.

  • Explores advanced technologies to extend the DoDIN to the tactical edge in contested environments; evaluate prototype cyber defensive technologies; explore techniques for increasing DoDIN resiliency and redundancy while minimizing vulnerabilities.

  • Provides strategic visual information maps detailing the Enterprise-Wide strategies specifically related to the EM Directorate and various project efforts. The maps will include concepts, metaphors, words, and visuals to build powerful communications messages. In each case, DISA’s capacity to enable mission partner success through in-formation dominance will be of paramount concern.

  • Updates and maintains all the EM supporting web portals (e.g., SharePoint Internal and External).

  • Ensures that the portals stay updated with the latest information and that the information grouping is logical and easy to access.

  • Develops enterprise-level applications and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features. Uses a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers.

  • Provides expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business.

  • Determines specifications, then plans, designs, and develops software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes either individually or in concert with project team.

  • Develops programming and development standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse.

  • Has knowledge of state-of-the art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs.

  • Understands and consistently applies the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.

  • Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business.

  • Performs work under minimal supervision.

  • Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. May act as lead.

  • Typically requires BA and 5-7 years.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years DoD DISA experience in advanced technologies extending DoDIN to the tactical edge in contested environments; evaluate prototype cyber defensive technologies

  • 2+ Years providing strategic visual information maps detailing the Enterprise-Wide strategies

  • 2+ Years collaboration with IC and DIA partners on technology evaluations, research and development projects that support the joint intelligence communication systems and users.

  • Experience with DoD or DISA Cloud, DLP, Mobility and DISA Collaboration tools Collaboration tools

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.
