U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command Human Resources Assistant (Military) in Fort Meade, Maryland

Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 780th Military Intelligence Brigade at Fort Meade, Maryland. Responsibilities Accomplishes and monitors the completion of military personnel functions relative to all Soldier programs for the Brigade, within established guidelines and procedures. Ensure the full range of military personnel actions comply with established regulations, policies, and procedures. Prepare recurring statistical reports to keep unit leaders and higher headquarters informed of current and future personnel readiness matters, trends, or issues. Compile and analyze military personnel information. Implements personnel management policies including, but not limited to: reassignment, strength management, leave, pay inquiries, separations and awards. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience at the GG-07 grade level, or equivalent in the Federal service OR at the GG-08 grade level in the private sector which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience executing and coordinating a variety of clerical and administrative support functions related to the preparation of military personnel actions, manpower requirements, and spreadsheets/correspondence using a variety of office automation tools. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-07) or at the GG/GS-08 grade level in the private sector.
