Job Summary:

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Operations and Infrastructure Center (OIC) delivers and defends the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) Area of Operations DISA (DAO DISA), enabling the warfighter and mission partners to conduct continuous global operations. The OIC is charged with the responsibility to Operate, defend, and sustain DISA's enterprise infrastructure and services.

Our Administrative Assistant (Security) is an integral part of the DISA CE daily operations. We are seeking a well-organized and proactive professional to join our organization in support of our customer with duties including access control, key management, task management, scheduling, travel planning, and technical support during high-level briefings.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support access to the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF), providing access or denial to visitors at the reception desk.

  • Follow all guidance provided in the DISA JOC SCIF Access Control, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

  • Process SCIF visitor access badges to approve visitors via JPAS in accordance with DISA Access Control Policy.

  • Assist visitors with contacting their point of contact for escort into the SCIF.

  • Escort cleaning staff by using proper SCIF procedures.

  • Ensure prohibited or unauthorized items do not enter the facility per DISA Prohibited Items Policy.

  • Be nominated as Trusted Agent for CMIS/JPAS in performance of security assistant duties, which will allow access to the CMIS/JPAS systems to validate clearance information for visitor verification.

  • Maintain positive control of all SCIF-issued Visitor Access Control Badges, able to report who sponsored the visitor into the SCIF; ensure all badges are collected at the end of each business day.

  • Sign out keys for lockers at the DISA JOC entrance and account daily for all keys.

  • Perform other administrative duties in a backup capacity which could include meeting minutes and coordination, phone message and answering, calendar coordination, VIP visit coordination etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant administrative experience.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

  • Demonstrated work experience within Department of Defense or military agencies and a familiarity with how these agencies conduct day to day business operations.

  • Must be proficient in properly marking classified documents, adhering to disparate classifications of data, and handling of classified information across domains.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Able to work and thrive in a high visibility, fast paced environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Able to write reports, develop metrics, create PowerPoint presentations and manage email correspondence and calendars.
