Vectrus Warehouse Specialist (Alternate Armorer) in Fort Liberty, North Carolina

Warehouse Specialist (Alternate Armorer) is responsible for performing required armorer duties when the Primary Armorer for the Modernization Displacement and Repair Site (MDRS) at Fort Liberty, North Carolina is absent or preoccupied. Duties include but are not limited to, verifying materials and equipment against receiving documents; ensuring all weapons and munitions are stored IAW DoD Physical Security of Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AA&E) regulations, directives, instructions and policies at numerous locations on Fort Liberty. Shall be required to work overtime when directed and approved by the government. Shall be present for all Arms Room and ARMAG inspections. Responsible for the upkeep of the Master Authorization List (MAL), intrusion detection system (IDS) monthly test, sign DA Form 5513 for the primary set of AA&E keys.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies material and equipment against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.

  • Routes material and equipment to prescribed storage locations.

  • Properly stores, stacks or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.

  • Rearranges as necessary and takes inventory of stored materials, examining stored

  • materials and reporting deterioration and damage.

  • Assist in loading and offloading of equipment from commercial vehicles.

  • Validates customer turn in documents for accuracy.

  • Prepares items for shipping as required. This includes packing, blocking and bracing of equipment.

  • Conducts inventories of equipment turned in by MDRS customers, ensuring accuracy, condition, and serviceability.

  • Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment.

  • Establishes and maintains stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and supply reports.

  • May operate hand or power trucks (Forklifts electric/diesel) as required in performance of warehousing duties.

  • Serves as the Alternate Armorer and Point of Contact for MDRS Arms Room Operations and requirements when the Primary Armorer is absent or preoccupied.

  • Signs DA Form 5513 for the primary set of AA&E keys as required.

  • Properly conduct Armorer Quality Checks in accordance with established SOPs.

  • Conforms to and operates within the framework of all applicable operator work instructions, SOPs, quality, safety procedures and items as deemed by your manager.

  • Conducts inventories through physical count and records item count on inventory documents. FL Form 2488-3-E.

  • Conducts and properly annotates daily visual count when Arms Room is accessed for the first time of the day, or whenever there is a change of armorers.

  • Counts ALL AA&E, sensitive and pilferable items stored in the Arms Room and ARMAG, to include keys.

  • Must control armory access.

  • Maintains and ensures proper documents are used for issuing/receiving AA&E.

  • Signs hand receipts for sensitive items (SIs) and equipment stored in Arms Room and ARMAG as required.

  • Ensures intrusion detection system (IDS) is activated when Arms Room/ARMAG is unoccupied or not under direct observation.

  • Maintains the Master Authorization List (MAL).

  • Conducts and properly documents monthly IDS operational tests (walk and duress).

  • MAINTAINS A RECEIPT FOR ALL EQUIPMENT STORED IN OR ISSUED FROM THE ARMS ROOM / ARMAG AS REQUIRED.

  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.

  • Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.

Qualifications

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must have Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A.) experience

  • Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS/FEDLOG).

  • Knowledge of warehousing storage layouts, re-warehousing and other basic warehousing functions.

  • Forklift Licensed.

  • Must be able to obtain a NACI Clearance.

  • Must be able to receive a suitable adjudication from a Personnel Reliability Screening and Evaluation (DA Form 7708).

  • Must be eligibility to obtain and maintain an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) Personal Identification Code (PIC).

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card

  • Must be able to pass the Arms Room Operations Course (AROC) IAW FL Reg 190‐13‐1

  • Must maintain a valid State Driver’s License.

  • Must maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Liberty installations.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and SharePoint preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills & ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have concrete knowledge and understanding of DoD Physical Security of Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AA&E) regulations, directives, instructions and policies.

  • EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years' experience in supply operations warehouse level.

  • Four years' related work experience qualifying for the respective position

  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and equipment management processes, related regulation, and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.

  • Capacity to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable.

  • Must be familiar with all forms covered in AR PAM 710-4, including DA Form 3161, DA Form 5598E, DA Form 2407, DA Form 4949 and BOMs identified in GCSS-A

  • SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Project and SharePoint preferred.

  • Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.

  • MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

  • Computers, Fax machine, Copier, Printer and Phones.

  • Personal computer systems, Microsoft Office Programs, any other pertinent software and general office equipment.

  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Face mask is required to be worn in all work locations.

  • Use of Government Furnished vehicle.

  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies. Must wear a mask.

  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold weather conditions.

  • Rarely will an employee be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

  • PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Work may require lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, climbing and prolonged standing and/or sitting.

  • Physical requirements include lifting, climbing stairs and extended sitting or standing
