Production Control Technician Lead

Skookum is seeking a dedicated and professional Production Control Technician Lead to join our team!

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Under the guidance of the Production Manager and in collaboration with key project personnel, helps define and improve the E2E work and asset management process. As lead, mentors and trains production control Technicians and other personnel on this process.

  • Oversees work orders and projects from receipt to completion leveraging the Maximo system - including new work receipt, shop assignment, warranty validation, status, comments, liability, completion, ArMA/GFEBS integration, and closure. Prepares workload, client, deliverables and other reports, check material status and requisitions, and supports planning and scheduling processes as needed

  • Oversees asset data leveraging Maximo system - including ensuring accurate inventory, new asset entries, asset updates, integration with SMS BUILDER and GFEBS, PM assignment (PM, Job Plan, Inspections), PM generation and tracking, and other aspects.

  • Oversees the warranty program - ensuring warranty data is added to SKUMAX and warranty issues are properly identified, tracked and completed.

  • Performs more advanced tasks but will fill in as a Production Control Technician as needed given shift schedules, leave periods and peak periods.

  • Ensures timely and effective DPW and customer communications including both routine and emergency work. During working hours, ensures all incoming emergency work has a designated functional leader.

  • Supports the Production Manager in refining the shop scheduling process - ensuring planning, PM level loading (using scheduling tool), material, and shop availability are integrated to optimize execution wrench time.

  • Identifies requirements and improves both internal and client facing reporting requirements including contract reports, internal reports, and automated alerts. Ensures all key reports and deliverables are provided to DPW per contract - including leveraging PowerBI dashboards.

  • Coaches, mentors, and reports and helps resolves employee concerns in a respectful and mutually beneficial manner.

  • Operates integration scripts (RPA) for client system integration.

  • Monitors employees to ensure efficient use of time, performance, and understand ng of work tasks.

  • Maintains a neat appearance and conducts oneself in a professional manner.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and Maximo.

  • Provide Shop Supervisors and Foremen with accurate data as required.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associates in general - Technical/Trades

  • Required: 5 years of previous experience in Maintenance Management, Production, Workorder management, including materials and planning integration. Equivalent experience will be factored relative to college degree requirements.

  • Preferred: Knowledge and practical experience in operations, maintenance management, and CMMS experience.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state drivers license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookums insurance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain installation access credentials, CAC System and Secret clearances (required for client system access)
