About the Position: Performs duties as the senior maintenance manager for a large multi-functional Army Field Level Maintenance (FLM) mission conducted at multiple facilities across Fort Leonard Wood with the responsibility of integrating the supply, maintenance, and transportation functions into a unified logistics program. Responsibilities Directs Army Field Level Maintenance operations in support of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). Integrate supply, maintenance, and transportation functions into a unified logistics program in support of tactical ground equipment, small arms and supporting equipment. Coordinate logistics support to serviced organizations through activities within the organization. Direct and manage the day-to-day Field Level Maintenance requirements for weapons, communications and optical equipment, light and heavy ground tactical equipment, power support equipment, construction equipment, and other special purpose items. Establish performance standards for personnel, advise personnel of performance objectives, and prepare formal evaluation of personnel performance. Analyze Army supply and maintenance production records, status reports and equipment utilization to evaluate progress and efficiency of maintenance performed. Perform overall planning for the Field Level Maintenance program by developing goals, ensure training requirements are completed, and budgetary execution. Maintain full oversight and compliance of all financial and supply resources and processes. Attends meetings and conferences to disseminate pertinent information relative to the equipment management program. Manage equipment, facilities and manpower to accomplish specific projects and programs in order to meet maintenance mission. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: integrating supply and maintenance functions into a unified logistics program; planning, supervision, management, and execution of field level maintenance operations for tactical ground equipment and small arms weapon systems; responsible for analysis of fleet wide logistics readiness posture in terms of equipment status, supply support capabilities and regulatory policy and guidance necessary to achieve the highest level of maintenance readiness; use of multiple Logistics Tactical Enterprise Logistics Systems (TELS), such as the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) to compile and analyze a variety of logistics data to determine adequacy of field level maintenance mission. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes Information Organizational Awareness Planning and Evaluating Strategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year probationary period may be required. One year supervisory probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. As a supervisor, you must comply with the Army Civilian Education System (CES) course and timeline requirements.
