Essential Job Functions:
Military Analyst to support the Quartermaster School (QMS) Commanders Initiatives Group (CIG) providing graphics support and technical assistance. Analyst will provide analysis and problem solving support to the QMS Command Section. The Military Analyst assists with the development and communication of strategic messages, initiatives, and priorities; develops speeches, presentations, and articles; provides VI support to facilitate communication; and coordinates, plans, and integrates content for CG events and travel. This individual provides on-site presentation development and content management support to the CIG in support of the QMS CG recommending content that best conveys the image or message. The position will perform manual and digital VI support for output in a variety of formats, such as, but not limited to, charts, slide presentations, interactive media production, line drawings, schematic drawings, banners, posters, office signs, placards, static displays, brochures, print publications, official gifts presented by the CG that have a graphic component, etc. The output formats may be used or presented in a variety of events, such as, briefings, speeches, conferences, seminars, video teleconferences, etc. Most importantly the Military Analyst will assist in conceptualizing graphic approaches to basic or abstract ideas and plans to include providing sketches or rough drafts to illustrate these ideas and as a guide for accomplishing work. Possessing an extensive graphics understanding and experience, the Military Analyst will provide support for the multimedia and electronic imagery requirements, make recommendations regarding the best medium in order to distribute the message, participate in pre-production meetings, in-progress reviews, and staff coordination meetings to assess production requirements, and drafting input to concepts, scripts, and production outlines.
Required Education and Experience:
Must have an understanding of Army Doctrine and Concepts and be able to independently formulate a thesis, independently conduct research, evaluate the thesis, counter-thesis, or differing courses of action and provide support for a conclusion based on logical evaluation.
