Summary About the Position: Provides guidance to HRD and division chiefs on military officer and enlisted personnel utilization, strength accountability, reorganizations and Table Distribution Allowances, and structure analysis. Serves as the HRD subject matter expert in the daily operation and maintenance of personnel automated systems. NOTE: PLEASE READ SEE "Requirements Section" - This is a TERM NTE 2 Year Position To apply for the for a Temp Prom, please apply into SDSB244903685624 Responsibilities As a Human Resources Specialist (Military), you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: Advises on career management policies. Formulates and coordinates personnel replacement, policies, and procedures regarding replacements Provides oversight for the officer and enlisted strength and assignments for CAC. Assists with the direction, coordination, and execution of a variety of military personnel programs. Develops, prepares, reports and continuously updates HR data. Maintains knowledge and expertise in the human resources arena. Reviews and analyzes the status report to identify current strength and MOS shortages. Collects and evaluates information and data and develops recommendations for timely decision making using statistical analyses regarding personnel readiness. Develops and maintains various automated unit readiness reporting systems, from HR data from installation and local data base systems and higher command systems (i.e., AIMs, TOPMIS, eTOPMIS, EDAS, eMILPO, COPS, FMS WEB) Responsible for reviewing military TDA changes against TOPMIS and EDAS authorizations. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience managing a military personnel management program for all officer and enlisted personnel; pulling queries and running analysis on data; analyzing organizational requirement to ensure personnel readiness and advising leadership on military personnel issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Compliance Computer Literacy Manages and Organizes Information Oral Communication Program Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. The expected duration of this term appointment is not to exceed (NTE) 2 Years, however employment may be terminated earlier than the established not to exceed date. Term employees are subject to termination at any time. Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years. The competitive TERM Appointment may be made permanent without further competition. This position is not a bargaining unit position.
