Join our team as the Operations Training Manager supporting Gallo's East Coast Operations Division! In this pivotal role, you will lead training engagements and teams, ensuring the highest standards in safety-related training processes and best practices. You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive training programs, while serving as the primary liaison to educational agencies and spearheading educational outreach and internship initiatives. Your expertise will also drive the development and evaluation of state and DOL registered apprenticeship programs. What You'll Do:

  • Manages Gallo eastern operations training initiatives, develops, gains sponsorship, and implements large-scale interdepartmental and high performance work team training programs through strong and effective leadership.

  • Leads Training Team to evaluate, develop and deliver training materials through multiple modalities that provide cost-efficient operation, efficient use of resources, and effective learning outcomes, for multiple sites.

  • Serves as primary liaison for education and training services provided by state and government agencies, for multiple sites, across multiple states.

  • Facilitates the identification of appropriate learning and skill development methods (i.e., individual training, group instruction, workplace on the job training (OJT), simulation-based learning, e-enabled learning, etc.) based on thorough needs analyses of training needs.

  • Oversees the effective delivery of small to large-scale and complex performance-based training programs.

  • Drives the adoption of interdepartmental training standards, policies, procedures, and tools throughout all operational areas within the sites.

  • Provides oversight for and leads Gallo educational outreach and internship programs in support of staffing needs.

  • Participates in and supports applicable job-role skill teams.

  • Leads the development and adoption of state and DOL registered apprenticeship programs and oversees execution of these programs to ensure high quality and compliance with apprenticeship standards.

  • Manages specific contracts with external suppliers for training products and services.

  • Monitors and ensures achievement of performance goals and objectives either directly or through subordinate staff or key training partners.

  • Ensures industry best practices are applied and employees are trained accordingly.

  • Leads interdepartmental teams in the development, implementation, and sustaining of training standards, procedures, and processes.

  • Evaluates effectiveness and efficiency of interdepartmental training programs and makes recommendations for broad changes and improvements.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience supporting the development and implementation of training programs in operations and supply chain environments reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR

  • High School diploma plus 9 years of experience supporting the development and implementation of training programs reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Supervisory or management experience within a production/operations environment.

  • Intermediate level MS Excel skills

  • Required to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a South Carolina driver’s license, or appropriate state driver’s license, within 30 days of hire.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Industrial Education, or Adult Education, plus 4 years of experience implementing corporate training programs in a production/operations environment, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an Operations Management concentration plus 6 years of experience implementing corporate training programs in a production/operations environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Association for Talent Development (ATD) CPTD certification.

  • Experience in the application of adult learning methods in the development of training programs specific to production/operational work environments.

  • Experience in the application of project and program management practices supporting the execution of large and complex training programs.

  • Experience in the design, development, and implementation of technology-based learning programs, including online and blended methods.

  • Experience in sourcing of training products and services to external suppliers.

  • Experience in the application of strategic workforce planning (SWP) practices.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $101,800 -$161,800

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
