We’re looking for an amazing Senior Manager, eCommerce Content Strategy & SEO to fill this role, which is based in our Fort Lauderdale office. In partnership with marketing, you’ll be the strategic mainstay in shaping our brand narrative and product presentation across digital platforms. You’ll spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive content and SEO strategy, ensuring alignment from overarching category themes down to the nuances of individual products. You’ll lead an external SEO agency in crafting and executing on a holistic strategy encompassing content creation and sound technical platform health to achieve aggressive traffic improvement goals. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing customer connections by delivering highly relevant and engaging content that resonates with our audience and you’ll prioritize initiatives based on their return on investment, utilizing data-driven insights to drive content performance and optimize guest engagement.

This position demands a keen understanding of SEO best practices, rapid organic growth strategies, brand voice and customer needs, leveraging your expertise to maximize content effectiveness and achieve our eCommerce objectives.

Here’s a summary of what Princess is looking for in its Senior Manager, eCommerce Content Strategy & SEO. Is this you?

Responsibilities

  • Lead Princess Cruises’ strategy for how to educate and inspire prospective and past guests about their offerings on princess.com, taking into account the various needs among different segments and how to best personalize and curate content for each of those segments (e.g. new to cruise, new to Carnival and several past guest segments including inactive vs. active guests and casino and other high onboard spenders)

  • Collaborate and align requirements and priorities with numerous stakeholders across the organization (e.g. CMO, Director, Creative Brand Marketing, Director, Creative, Snr Dir, Digital Strategy & Product, Snr Dir, eCommerce Technology, Legal Counsel (multiple countries), Director, Shorex Ex, Snr Director, Digital Product (mobile app), Snr Manager, Product UX Manager).

  • Lead Princess Cruises’ strategy to rapidly increase organic traffic to princess.com. Oversee SEO Agency in developing new content (ie blog articles, new site pages, etc), optimizing existing assets, building a roadmap for technical optimizations on the platform and improving domain authority via backlink strategies and execution.

  • Collaborate and align strategy with the Media team and product marketers as well as Digital Product and IT teams for execution.

  • Oversee content development to ensure content meets business objectives, aligns with brand voice, follows best information architecture best practices, is relevant to the target audience, follows digital style guidelines, is search engine optimized and ADA-compliant; content must also work across devices and platforms. This includes defining and following an agreed upon review process with various departments for feedback and approvals.

  • Ensure Legal & Accessibility Compliance: Oversee content to ensure adherence to copyright laws, privacy regulations, and accessibility standards (WCAG).

  • Develop business requests and priorities to product owner/scrum teams; collaborate on requirements gathering; review and approve completed business requirements for development work to be approved, sized, and prioritized; requests include new projects, as well as requests to ensure content management systems meet publishing needs and the platform maintains high performing SEO enablement health.

  • Drive Content Performance Optimization by leveraging advanced analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytic as) to identify and address engagement, conversion barriers and growth opportunities. Develop and execute content strategies informed by data insights to enhance user experience and maximize ROI. Conducts Audits and Testing to refine navigation, taxonomy and seo content effectiveness, driving continuous improvement.

  • Create and manage the princess.com content calendar, setting priorities for the content team and gaining alignment with cross-functional teams when relevant (e.g. new product launches); serve as product (ship features, onboard experiences, itineraries/destinations) subject matter expert for ecommerce team.

  • Hire, onboard, develop and nurture ongoing collaboration with copywriters, journey strategists, content creators and publishers; identify, manage, and negotiate new vendor relationships.

  • Establish standards, systems, best practices, and workflow processes for managing the content lifecycle, including requesting, producing, QA, publishing, measuring, optimizing, auditing, and retiring. Participate in and deliver training,

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in E-commerce, Marketing, or relevant equivalent

  • 10+ years digital marketing, managing website content on best-in-class CMS systems

  • 10 + years managing a staff of 8-10 in a digital and project-oriented organization.

  • 7+ years search engine optimization experience leading teams to improve organic traffic performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead content strategy across the eCommerce ecosystem.

  • Demonstrated strong business judgement and decision-making skills.

  • Proven track record of executing and managing change across multiple functional teams including technology, marketing, digital product.

  • Preferably within travel or professional services industries

  • Deep understanding of Adobe AEM, DAM, Analytics

  • Ability to define processes, roll them out, establish KPIs and reporting metrics.

  • Exceptional Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data to drive strategic decisions and optimize content performance.

  • Adaptability and Time Management: Demonstrated capacity to manage shifting priorities, meet stringent deadlines, and effectively handle diverse workloads in a fast-paced environment.

  • Advanced Technical Proficiency: Expertise in SEO, web-based CMS platforms, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to leverage these tools to enhance digital presence.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate digital strategies and concepts clearly, with experience in providing training and presentations.

  • Client Service Excellence: Proven track record of delivering outstanding client service and building effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Interpersonal Competence: Skilled in engaging and collaborating with various teams and departments, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

Please note that this position is hybrid based in our Fort Lauderdale office. Successful candidate must be within commute distance and able to go into the office 3 days per week.

  • Base Salary Range: $110,200.00 to $148,800.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
