Paramount Data Scientist in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a hardworking data scientist to build machine learning products to optimize our content and marketing investment decisions. You will bring to bear datasets collected from tens of millions of users as they engage with content on Paramount+, such as video consumption data from Adobe Analytics clickStream, purchase / subscription data, and Ad revenue data from Doubleclick, to build machine learning models to guide business strategy. Perspicacity and track record of building and deploying models, superb communication skills, and curiosity about the streaming entertainment industry.

  • Build and implement production machine learning systems.

  • Develop data science solutions to forecast content performance and optimize marketing spend.

  • Translate complex business problems into quantitative solutions that scale across our global ecosystem of streaming services and content.

  • Validate models through back-testing and evaluation of observed data.

  • Automate machine learning pipelines using MLOps standard methodologies.

  • Inform the efficient deployment of Paramount+ capital and resources through data-driven recommendations.

  • Maintain the health of machine learning systems, including speed, model accuracy, reliability, and performance.

  • Deliver data insights at the appropriate level of detail and perform fast follow-up to feedback.

  • You will work on models such as LTV Forecasting, Subscriber Propensity Models, Content Valuation & Forecasting, and Green Light Models.

  • Build a user-level data management platform that serves as the central data hub allowing machine learning software components to plug in and segment users, predict future behavior, identify users at risk of churning, and personalize their online experiences.

  • Chip in to device/user graph/CDP that accounts for multi-platform access and pan-visit user behavior.

  • Build models to guide our content strategy such as content affinity, slate planning, and scheduling optimization models.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 0-3 years of experience in Data Science and ML Engineering.

  • MS or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or related disciplines with specialization in machine learning techniques.

  • Knowledge of both supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.

  • Have full stack experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, productionalization, and monitoring of data science products.

  • Prowess in writing robust code in Python and leverage associated machine learning packages.

  • Experience using Jupyter Notebooks.

  • Familiarity with a variety of statistical models and methods (i.e., causal methods, tree-based algorithms, time series analysis, regression analysis).

  • Communicate concisely and persuasively with engineers and product managers.

  • Strong detail orientation with a penchant for data accuracy.

  • Familiar with version control systems (Git, BitBucket).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, ML Engine, and APIs).

  • Experience with Databricks and Spark.

  • Experience using project management tools like those from Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence)

  • Adept in wrangling data using SQL, Pandas, MongoDB.

  • Background in NLP or text mining techniques.

  • Background in deep learning and Tensorflow.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $98,400.00 - 140,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.This position is bonus eligible.
