TAD PGS, Inc. Business Unit Manager in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

We have an outstanding career opportunity for aBusiness Unit Managerto join a leading Company located in the Fort Lauderdale, FL surrounding area.

The role manages and coordinates the business unit's activities, priorities, and contract implementation across all company sites and functions. This position will be responsible for the development of long-term product, pricing and growth strategies. The position will coordinate sales team activities within the business unit, resolve cross-functional issues with key stakeholders, and manage all external sales agent activities for the business unit.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales and profit for the business unit and meet growth targets.

  • Create and manage customer proposals in line with the company's quality, pricing, and approval processes.

  • Develop and implement the business unit's product and pricing strategy.

  • Manage and coordinate the business unit's activities, priorities, and contract implementation across all company sites and functions.

  • Manage and support assigned sales agents.

  • Resolve cross-functional issues and conflicts through active coordination with stakeholders . Budgeting , Forecasting and Reporting.

  • Develop Business Unit targets for order intake and sales.

  • Monitor deviations and implement actions to address deviations throughout the year.

  • Collect and track forecast information by product and/or customer and communicate demand to relevant internal functions to ensure successful business planning for procurement and production.

  • Provide input for standard KPI, sales and corporate reports . Strategy and Portfolio Management.

  • Drive product strategy & portfolio management of Business Unit through business intelligence on market trends, upcoming regulations, customer feedback and competitor observation. Develop product strategy as well as OE and Aftermarket pricing strategy , while ensuring positive long-term growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor the profitability of the Business Unit's product portfolio. Propose and implement portfolio adjustments to improve profitability.

  • Prepare business cases for internal R&D projects.

  • Monitor progress on the Business Unit's new product projects, ensuring the schedule to market introduction is maintained with all business functions.

  • Develop line fit and aftermarket product price strategy. Prepare and implement price adjustment plan for the Business Unit based on value pricing approach.

  • Review new customer project requests requiring significant engineering resources and ensure clear prioritization of projects. Bid & Proposal Management .

  • Manage important Bid & Proposal projects to ensure timely submission of bid to customer .

  • Review and approve business cases and competitive bids.

  • Provide guidance and support to Sales for Bid/No-Bid decisions, and present ambiguous Bid/No-Bid cases to senior management for decision.

  • For new product introductions, ensure that complete information packages are submitted from Sales to Engineering, and provide guidance, review and approval of proposals within delegated authority . Contract and Key Account Management.

  • Coordinate review and completion of customer related documents, including customer contracts, customer specific requirements, and customer questionnaires.

  • Manage and support external sales agent network in daily business, creating business cases, pricing, and competitive bid proposals.

  • S upport Sales Agents on c ustomers visits as required. Drive proper use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system u se for tracking opportunities of external sales agents.

  • Decide priorities of customer orders in cases of operational capacity limitations.

  • Resolve complex customer account issues with customers.

  • Support Sales and Customer Service Team with key customer accounts as required. Process Improvements and Compliance.

  • Identify and drive improvements to sales-related and operational processes for the benefit of the business unit. Marketing.

  • Propose marketing strategy and activities for the Business Unit and support relevant marketing initiatives.

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.

  • Working experience in aerospace or related industry.

  • 10+ years working in a sales or business leadership role preferred.

  • Strong negotiator with excellent interpersonal, team leadership and managerial skills.

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and ERP systems.

  • Experienced in customer and supplier relations.

  • Knowledge of ITAR, FAR and DFAR regulations preferred, but not required.

  • Supervisory Responsibility None TRAVEL Domestic and International travel is required, less than 10%.
