Army Installation Management Command Library Technician NF-02 in Fort Drum, New York

Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Responsibilities Registers patrons, processes overdues and reserves, assists with interlibrary loans and reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers basic reference questions, and assists customers in locating materials. Provides technical services support in a variety of functions such as basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials. Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories. Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess one of the following: one (1) year of specialized experience performing the following duties: Follow basic and well-established library procedures, perform duties related to circulation, acquisition, disposal of library materials, as well as collection, maintenance and preservation of books, OR possess two (2) years of education above high school (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE UPLOADED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION), OR possess a combination of the experience (as identified in question #1 - ex: six (6) months) and education (as identified in question #2 - ex: one (1) year) that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE UPLOADED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION). Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances A nonforeign area allowance or differential is not granted to employees in payband levels NF-1 and NF-2 since their rates already are based on the prevailing rate.
