Army Installation Management Command Bartender NA-04 in Fort Drum, New York

Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Responsibilities Operates a small full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with operating procedures. Stocks bar. Keeps bar, utensils, equipment and work area clean and sanitary. Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications All candidates MUST meet the following minimum qualifications: ability to mix drinks using alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, AND ability to perform simple arithmetic to calculate bills and make change, AND ability to recognize and handle intoxicated patrons, AND ability to recognize shortages of supplies and replace them as necessary, AND ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff, AND meet state/local age (18) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages at time of appointment (projected appointment date: 3/14/2024), AND physical ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds PLEASE NOTE: Your resume & application package must reflect the qualifications stated in the announcement and questionnaire to be rated eligible.
