We are seeking a skilled Content Specialist to join our Public Sector Marketing team, focused on creating and executing content strategies specifically for federal government customers and initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality and engaging content (written, digital, video) that resonates with government decision makers and influencers.
Our Content Specialist will help define and execute the customer journey, develop content that engages and connects with our target federal customers. This role requires exceptional organizational ability, creativity, writing and editing experience and passion for Account Based Marketing (ABM), B2B marketing and the customer journey. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and bring proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and creative strategy.
Being up to date on HP's product/solution offerings, sales process and cross-departmental knowledge is critical to providing an exceptional customer experience. The Content Specialist is a key member of the integrated marketing team and is crucial to establishing a seamless customer journey that allows a clear path to further discovery and purchase.
For this role, you will be both a creative thinker and a master of message optimization. You should be familiar with various marketing techniques across all marketing channels. Your goal will be to develop the most compelling ABM campaign content to position HP as the top technology partner for the U.S. Government.
Job Summary
The Content Specialist for Marketing plays a vital role in developing and managing digital and traditional content that supports HP's marketing, communication, and outreach efforts to the federal government. This role is responsible for overseeing the creation of various marketing materials and the development, evaluation, and execution of awareness, thought leadership, events, and direct marketing campaigns across different audiences and channels. This position involves creating clear, accurate, and engaging content that informs and educates government buyers about Pan-HP value propositions. The Content Specialist will work closely with Campaign Managers, Events Managers, Media team, Global Content Marketing teams, and Sales Leaders to develop the required content to meet campaign objectives. The role requires a strong understanding of content strategy, communications, and an ability to adapt and craft messages that resonate with government audiences.
Responsibilities
Collaborates with marketing, sales, SMEs and insights teams to fully understand HP's value proposition to ensure content resonates with our target audiences.
Works with other creators of content within HP to adapt and personalize collateral (where appropriate) for federal audiences.
Maintains methods to track all content, including live content, refresh schedules, and content in production.
Creates clear, concise, and impactful messaging and content for federal government marketing campaigns, including website copy/design, white papers, ebooks, guides, brochures, blogs, media/social posts, newsletters, and event messaging.
Ensures the appropriate imagery is developed and used for different federal audiences (i.e., defense and civilian agencies)
Develops content strategies tailored to the specific needs of federal customers, ensuring content aligns with their needs and speaks in their voice.
Oversees the creation of multimedia, multichannel content (e.g., written, digital, videos) to increase audience engagement across the buyer's journey. Ensures content is optimized for each channel.
Uses analytics and data to track content performance and report on key metrics, such as engagement, reach, and conversion. Adjust content strategies based on performance.
Works closely with sales stakeholders and marketing team members to ensure content meets HP business and campaign goals.
Manages multiple content projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met, and all content is delivered on time and within scope.
Oversees, reviews, guides, and edits work conducted by agencies and 3rd parties to ensure all requirements are met.
Coordinates with other departments, such as legal, privacy, and corporate marketing, to ensure content is on-brand, compliant, and aligned with overall marketing strategies.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in Commercial, B2B marketing, communications, or a related field.

The base pay range for this role is $86,950 to $131,300 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
