Position Description
As a Procurement Buyer with the Wireless Semiconductor Division (WSD), you will support Procurement activities in our state of the art 200mm MEMS production facilities located along the Front Range in Northern Colorado. This position comes with a broad and rewarding set of responsibilities in procurement support for new process development along with existing volume manufacturing. You will be working closely with Engineering and other Functional Areas to source new materials or equipment for new products and processes as well as support materials or equipment for existing manufacturing requirements. You will serve as the conduit between Broadcom and key suppliers: managing the day to day communications, managing key suppliers, performing supplier evaluations, and ensuring material or equipment is available as needed.
We are looking to hire a talented, highly motivated Procurement Buyer to support new, emerging and existing MEMS based micro fabrication technologies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities of a Capital Equipment_Commodity Buyer:
Capital Equipment buyers must interact and maintain relationships with Logistics, Operations, Finance, Engineering (Process and R&D), Equipment Engineering (Maintenance Technicians and Equipment Engineers), SCT (Facilities), Materials Engineering, and Janitorial. This may include interacting face-to-face with multiple shifts depending on the equipment or commodity.
Overall supplier management includes setting strategy, managing action item lists, driving accountability, resolving issues, pushing for better Terms such as price, quality and assurance of supply, responsiveness, and facilitating meetings and publishing meeting minutes to name just a few.
Organize, orchestrate, and conduct supplier scorecard evaluations (TQRDCE). Manage the suppliers to the objectives set by Broadcom.
Strong presentation skills, including the ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences, engage listeners, and use visual aids effectively to enhance understanding and retention are necessary for this job.
Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to understand market trends, make data-driven decisions, and align strategies with organizational goals to optimize the Supply Chain.
Interaction with various components of the MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) is required. This may include PDCA, EMMA, Lot Starts, Fab Reports, Wafer-Monitor Requests, SQCS, Chemical Lot tracking, and Incorta.
Oracle is the ordering system. Proficiency on all aspects of Oracle: PO, Transaction, Inventory, etc., will be required. Invoice problem resolution is a related task.
Monitoring and storing of COA/COCs (Certificates of Assurance/Compliance) is required.
Management of International Suppliers is required. At times it is also necessary to interact with Broadcom Penang and/or Singapore.
Forecast spending and judiciously purchase equipment and commodities while balancing forecast commitments, demand changes, and operational surprises.
Contracts: Ability to read and analyze contract language.
Strong analytical skills are required
Proficiency in our typical computer applications is required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe and the Google Suite).
Customer service for our internal partners is extremely important.
You will be required to provide back-up for others as defined by management.

Qualifications:
BS in Procurement or Business with 8+years of Experience
Enterprise Resource Planning Experience with Oracle or SAP
Strong Presentation Skills and Communication Skills
Strong PC and Microsoft Office Skills
Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment and to deliver results
Track record of self – motivated learning
Demonstrated strong teamwork skills and ability to deliver results within a team environment
Strong Project Management skills and/or Strong Process Development skills are a bonus.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $71,000 - $113,000.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
