Purpose and Scope Uses fundamental knowledge of accounting principles and procedures to perform a wide variety of accounting functions in assigned area. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform bank to general ledger transaction matching and bank account reconciliations on a weekly/monthly basis Prepare various reports for daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. Perform balance sheet account reconciliations. Prepare schedules for internal and external financial audits. Prepare journal entries. Maintain internal financial and accounting controls. Maintain financial records and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded Prepare daily invoices. Fixed asset accounting, including but not limited to: depreciation calculation, tracking of capital project costs, audits, verbal and written communications with asset custodians, assisting in the preparation of the capital budget. Communicate with co-workers, management, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner. Research transactions and other issues within the system to either resolve or get assistance from the managers in the department to resolve. Assist with maintaining department files. Perform various other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Good fundamental knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Knowledge of computerized accounting software, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and all Microsoft Office applications. Skill in effective oral and written communication. Skill in effective organization and ability to pay attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Experience in a professional accounting position preferred. Working Conditions Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $28.50 - $31.50 per hour depending on experience.
