Pay Range: $16.07-$18.00 (min - 12% above min)/hr based on qualifications and experience*

Summary:

Responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with clerical tasks, including typing documents; grading tests and assignments; preparing instructional artwork, posters, bulletin boards and displays; and copying and preparing classroom materials. Assist with monitoring students outside of the classroom.

Job Tasks:

1. Prepare classroom materials and tests. Type, copy, collate, staple, bind, and laminate classroom materials.

2. Grade student tests and other assignments.

3. Prepare instructional artwork, posters, bulletin boards and displays.

4. Monitor students during breaks, lunch, recess and/or getting on and off the bus. Reinforce school-wide discipline procedures.

5. Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.

6. Attend appropriate inservices, building meetings, training and/or school functions.

7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Licenses:

High school diploma or equivalent One year of related experience

Experience working in a school setting preferred

Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
