About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th AFSB, Logistics Readiness Center located at Fort Cavazos Responsibilities Serves as supervisor over the Deployment Ready Reaction Field (DRRF), Transportation Inspectors and Container/Convoy section personnel in connection with the responsibility to support assigned and supported units. Serves as technical advisor/assistant to Chief Movements Branch. Represents the Chief Movements Branch at local and higher headquarters meetings with authority to speak on matters pertaining to rail, container and convoy deployment operations and activities. Reviews and analyzes effectiveness of performance of the administrative use of strategic movement to carry out III Corps ground deployment operations. Develop, present and direct an ongoing training program in the planning, preparation and execution of unit move (to include utilization of Automated Information Systems) for supported units. Develops plans for expansion of activities, consolidation of functions, special projects, maneuvers, added functions or changes in currently assigned missions. During mobilization/emergency deployments, coordinates and establishes efforts for up to 150 personnel. OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
