Summary About the Position: This Operations Officer is located at U.S. Army Operational Test Command, G3 OPS Division with duty location of Fort Cavazos, Texas. (merit) Responsibilities Serve as an Operations Officer assigned to the Operations Division, Headquarters, Operational Test Command providing support in areas such as planning and executing operational tests. Provide integration of staff actions to facilitate effective management of subordinate elements. Initiate tasks such as communication, coordination and follow-up actions with subordinate elements, higher headquarters, other services and federal agencies, companies and professional organizations. Research business/management practices for application to agency operations. Manage the organization’s program in areas such as training and professional development. Utilize training support systems to complete tasks such as planning and processing training requests. Analyze management information requirements to develop program reporting systems including items such as systems specifications, data, analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology. Develop administrative program items such as policies, regulations, goals, or objectives. Receive operations orders/taskings in order to interpret the required action. Serve as an action officer that participates in areas such as special projects, studies, and management activities. Prepare data in items such as charts and graphs to report on projects. Coordinate meetings in order to present briefings. Exercise management of the execution of command activities/events. Work with data to complete items such as input, retrieval and analysis to process data requests. Prepare written reports to higher headquarters concerning the status of actions, utilizing a database to retrieve the requested data. Among other features, the Demonstration Project replaced GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The band NH-03 is equal to the former GS-12 Step 01 through GS-13 step 10. ATEC uses salary control points to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $113,604.00 including locality.
