Akima Heavy Equipment Operator with CDL in Fort Cavazos, Texas

Responsibilities

  • Operators operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scrapper attachments.

  • Operators use equipment to excavate, load, or move dirt, gravel, or other materials.

  • Operators may read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans, and may grease, adjust and make emergency repairs to equipment.

  • Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.

  • Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of heavy equipment operation experience.

  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License.

  • Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC.

  • High School Diploma / GED.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures.

  • U.S. Army 88M series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Pay Rate $22.33.
