Summary This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Responsibilities As a LEAD ADMINISTRATIVE ADVISOR at the GS-0301-13/14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the Lead Administrative Advisor to the Director, Deputy Director, Executive Director, Command Senior Enlisted Leader, and Chief of Staff by providing technical oversight of the day-to-day operations of administrative and/or analytical work of assigned team members. Performs a wide variety of analytical and technical administrative functions by or providing lead administrative management, analysis, and recommendations; coordinating, communicating, and solving complex issues, requiring cross-cutting solutions; and identifying, standardizing, and assessing processes in order to improve and employ efficient, integrated practices in the application of resources. Ensures successful completion of Staff Action within the agency in accordance with applicable policies and guidelines. Uses the Agency automated tools to track the flow of documents and executive commitments to ensure that senior leadership is receiving appropriate support and tasks are moving through the system meeting the suspense. Serves as the Functional Community Manager for the Agency Administrative Functional Community within the Agency. Collaborates with Human Resources to manage the status and future requirements for the community in determining which skillsets are most critical; and creating guidance, targeted recruiting, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Experience leading a team performing administrative management work at an executive level for an organization by providing technical oversight on day-to-day operations. Experience creating and analyzing administrative operations to streamline processes for efficiencies. Experience determining critical skillsets, creating guidance and targeting recruiting to manage a functional community. Experience providing senior level guidance by way of communicating assessment objects and goals and assisting in the development of project initiatives / plans by suggesting methodologies, timelines, and requirements for the final product. You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Experience assisting with administrative management work at an executive level in an organization. Experience assisting with input to modify existing processes for identified efficiencies. Experience assisting with guidance by way of communicating assessment objects and goals and assisting in the development of project initiatives / plans by suggesting methodologies, timelines, and requirements for the final product. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
