We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Agent in the Wood & Furniture Manufacturing industry, based in FORT ATKINSON, Wisconsin. The incumbent will be responsible for various tasks, including buying processes, enterprise resource planning, and maintaining effective communication. Responsibilities:

• Leverage ERP solutions like Epicor for efficient purchasing and managing accounting functions

• Act as a strategic buyer, identifying and sourcing materials necessary for manufacturing processes

• Collaborate with the chef to ensure the necessary resources are available for product development

• Implement and manage enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to streamline buying processes

• Maintain open lines of communication with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams

• Oversee accounts payable (AP), ensuring all payments are made accurately and on time

• Utilize software such as 'About Time' for efficient time and resource management

• Regularly review and update buying processes to ensure they align with the company's strategic goals

• Proactively resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the purchasing process

• Foster strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure the best terms for the company.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Wood & Furniture Manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically Epicor.

• Experience with 'About Time' software and other ERP solutions.

• Familiarity with Chef software is a plus.

• Must have a thorough understanding of accounting functions, specifically Accounts Payable (AP).

• Knowledge of buying processes in the manufacturing sector.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

• Candidates should display strong skills in strategic sourcing and procurement.

• Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

• Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts is required.
