Maintenance Technician III 

Role Summary 

Our client seeks a Maintenance Technician III to join their rapidly growing team. The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting machines in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on reducing cost-related errors, exceeding client expectations, driving a safe workplace, and being innovative. The responsibilities for this role include equipment repairs, operations, ensuring safe production standards, and managing the day-to-day functioning of machines and tools. 

Key Results Area 

  • Conducts preventative maintenance on machines 

  • Troubleshoot maintenance on various machines to ensure efficiency and reduce interruptions of production and quality 

  • Inspects equipment and systems for any issues 

  • Completes day-to-day maintenance repairs 

  • Follows all departmental SOPs 

  • Follows all company policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook 

  • Promotes and maintains a clean and organized work area 

  • Communicates all safety issues, incidents, and near misses observed 

  • Reports major problems with machinery and downtime to the Supervisor 

  • Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success 

Skills & Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with electrical and mechanical expertise 

  • Effective problem-solving abilities 

  • Knows how to run air lines, conduit, and wiring for new and relocated equipment 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks 

  • Experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment such as inserters, conveyors, bowes, and forklifts 

  • Ability to perform physical requirements including bending, repetitive motion, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 70 pounds 

  • Flexible schedule for overtime and weekends 

  • Capable of working independently or in a team atmosphere 

  • Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and be accountable for quality produced 

  • Strong leadership traits, with the ability to train and mentor other Maintenance Technicians
