Mailshop W&D Helper  

Role Summary  

Our client seeks a Mailshop W&D Helper to join their rapidly growing team. The Mailshop W&D Helper supports the operation of production machines by sorting mail, inserting tags, and rewinding stamp rolls. They maintain quality standards, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with team members to optimize production. This role involves physical tasks and requires the ability to work efficiently under pressure.  

  

Key Results Area  

  • Sorts and inserts tags into mail trays  

  • Rewinds rolls of stamps for use on the production machine  

  • Sorts mail off the end of a production machine  

  • Uses a pallet jack to move finished pallets of mail  

  • Communicates job status and production concerns and issues during shift changes  

  • Follows all Standard Operating Procedures and all safety policies and procedures  

  • Communicate with the operator and supervisor about any problems with the machinery  

  • Works with urgency when equipment is down to maintain production requirements  

  • Continues learning new and improved processes to achieve increased production  

  • Performs additional responsibilities as required  

Skills & Qualifications  

  • High School Diploma or GED  

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with electrical and mechanical expertise  

  • Effective problem-solving skills  

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills  

  • Well-organized and capable of prioritizing tasks  

  • Able to bend, stand, repeat motions, and lift up to 70 pounds during the shift  

  • Willing to learn, develop new skills, and be accountable for the quality of work produced  

  • Experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment such as inserters, conveyors, bowes, and forklifts  

  • Able to work independently or as part of a team  

  • Knowledge of running air lines, conduit, and wiring for new and relocated equipment
