                                                                 MACHINE OPERATOR 

Role Summary 

Our client is seeking a full-time Machine Operator experienced or willing to learn our business. This position is responsible for operating or assisting in a direct mail manufacturing environment with a focus on reduction in cost-related errors, exceeding client expectations, and driving a safe workplace. Primary job duties 

  • Operates and maintains equipment.   

  • Performs adjustments on machine per job instructions.   

  • Meets and exceeds production standards and maintaining customer quality requirements.   

  • Communicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift change.   

  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.   

  • Adheres to all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 

  • Troubleshoots problems with minimum delay time.  

  • Communicates with Management on any problems developing and corrective action.   

  • Works with urgency when equipment is down to maintain production requirements.   

  • Continues learning new and improved processes to achieve increased production.   

  • Facilitates teamwork among team members and between shifts.   

  • Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success. 

Skills and Qualifications 

  • 2 years of manufacturing experience (Preferred)  

  • High school diploma or GED required   

  • Able to lift and move 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally 

  • Able to stand on concrete for 10-12 hours 

  • Willingness to work overtime when needed   

  • Ability to apply written and verbal instructions for machine set-up   

  • Good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members   

  • Must demonstrate reliability through attendance, punctuality, and ability to stay in work area   

  • Must be able to foster team cooperation
