Details: Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Location: Forest, OH Zip Code: 45843 Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Direct Hire Pay Rate: $71,500-$107,300/salary DoE Schedule: Keywords: #QualityEngineer #EngineeringJobs JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develops, implements, and follows up on root cause and corrective actions (RCCA) in response to product rejected in house and product rejected by customers and supplier rejections. * Perform supplier audits as needed. * Host customer and regulatory agencies audits. (Federal Aviation Administration, AS9100 registrar, etc.). * Develops, implements, and follows up on RCCA for findings resulting from these audits. * Performs Over Inspection as a Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) by performing dimensional inspections, reviewing documentation, reviewing test data and Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions; submitting data by method specified by customer (website, etc.), operating scanning equipment for 2D marking, et * Reviews and interprets customer Quality Requirements to develop and implement systems as needed to ensure compliance. * Manages First Article Inspection (FAI). * Provides methods and tooling for inspection; obtains certifications from suppliers and writes FAI reports in accordance with AS9102. * Maintaining the Supplier portal. * Monitor Supplier performance metrics and take appropriate measures when metrics are not met. * Point of contact for all Suppliers. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * 2-3+ years of relevant work experience * Experience working with suppliers, reviewing data, auditing * Practical knowledge of state-of-the-art inspection and quality engineering/assurance techniques, procedures, instruments, equipment, theories, principles and concepts and general business operations. * Practical knowledge of Quality Assurance analysis tools (Six Sigma, FAI, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, 8D, Fishbone). * Knowledge of aerospace industry or similar industry products and legal and regulatory requirements related to field. * Ability to effectively apply continuous improvement principles and techniques to quality and manufacturing functions. * Ability to use standard business software applications and/or specialized data analysis tools. * Ability to work on a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity where detail analysis of the data is required. * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings, specifications. Ability to use standard manual inspection tools (surface plate & height gage; vernier calipers & micrometers; plug & thread gages, etc.). * Ability to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, team members, team leaders and top management; respond to significant inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies. * Ability to interpret a broad variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form that include several abstract and concrete variables. * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to use full discretion in selecting procedures and techniques to apply to work and determine priority and order of assignments. * Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal-setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Associates Degree in Engineering Technology required. Bachelor of Science (4 year) degree in an Engineering major is preferred. * Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5 preferred but not required. * Experience developing, implementing and troubleshooting alternate inspection methods preferred but not required. * Experience in developing and implementing Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) preferred. * Working knowledge of the ISO Quality Standard preferred. * Demonstrated ability to
