Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Rancho Cucamonga, California. This role is pivotal in maintaining our financial records, including managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our books.
You will be working in the industry of real estate investment and development, focusing on tasks such as handling accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and managing purchasing activities.

Responsibilities:
• Manage all financial transactions, including fixed payments, variable expenses, bank deposits, and budgets
• Handle accounts payable and receivable by processing invoices and conducting bank reconciliations
• Utilize bookkeeping software, online spreadsheets, and databases proficiently, particularly QuickBooks, AppFolio, ADP, and SDP
• Ensure the timely entry of all journal entries and the maintenance of the general ledger
• Take charge of purchasing activities, ensuring that all required products or services are procured within the specified budget
• Reconcile all accounts monthly to ensure their accuracy
• Review employee timecards and payroll for a small team, ensuring all payments are processed on-time without any errors
• Prepare construction subcontractor agreements and/or liens release waivers
• Prepare construction lender draws
• Some property management accounting functions
• Filing of receipts
• Workers Comp and General Liability Audits
• Processing of 1099 year end and W9

Requirements
• Proficiency in general accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with Month-End Close processes
• Ability to maintain accurate ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Proficient in data entry and management
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks and/or AppFolio
• Good understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field not required, but preferred.
