Job Summary

Grande is seeking an experienced and compassionate Large Animal Veterinarian with a strong professional interest in milk quality production practices for our available role of Producer Services Veterinarian.
In this role, you will consult directly with dedicated Grande Producer Dairies in the areas of milk quality, productivity and animal well-being. Grande Producer Services Veterinarians work in collaboration with the Grande Producer Services Team. This team assists our Producer Dairies in their efforts to achieve their business goals of producing high-quality milk, providing excellent animal care, and exceeding dairy regulatory requirements. While serving as an important milk quality and animal care consulting resource, you will be stretched to grow and develop your dairy production medicine skills. What you need to be considered for the role:
A Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) required.
Two (2) or more years' experience in the food animal veterinary field working primarily with dairy, as well as the safety and purity of milk production.
Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Wisconsin.
FARM AC evaluator certification (not required, but must be able to receive).
FARM ES evaluator certification (not required, but must be able to receive).
PAACO certification in Dairy (not required, but must be able to receive).
Strong coaching, training and project management skills.
Proficient in English with excellent written and oral communication skills. Spanish communication skills a plus.
Effectively develops communications (graphically, written and verbal skills).
Working knowledge of Wisconsin Department of Agriculture Grade “A” standards and good manufacturing practices
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Thorough knowledge of all laboratory testing involving milk
