Job Summary

Grande is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated candidate with a passion for food science and microbiology for our available role of Lab Technician II - Starter Culture. In this role you will independently perform semi-complex to complex laboratory work utilizing established methods and techniques. You will provides accurate and reliable test results in addition to supporting the execution, management, and monitoring of department programs. This role will provide the opportunity to collaborate with scientists and management on advancement, improvement, and troubleshooting projects. Highly qualified candidates will have experience working with lactic acid bacteria and dairy fermentation and be comfortable working in a confidential environment.

What you need to be considered for the role:

  • Associate's Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or other related discipline required.

  • Three (3) or more years related experience in a food testing, dairy, or research laboratory required.

  • Excellent analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously.

  • Ability to work with various laboratory equipment.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
