Position Summary
This role will be responsible for supporting financial modeling and analysis to assess the feasibility and profitability of potential investment opportunities. You will play an integral role in shaping our organization’s investment strategy and supporting accelerated growth.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate a wide range of investment options, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and new projects supporting our decarbonization goals. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated financial models encompassing critical financial metrics, such as cash flow projections, return on investment (ROI), net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), and other relevant valuation methodologies.
Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support business development and cross functional initiatives.
Prepare clear and concise investment reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Conduct due diligence to identify all relevant details of potential projects and analyze financial models and statements to assess their viability. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize investments and assist in deal structuring.
Stay updated on industry trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes that may impact investment decisions. Use this information to enhance the accuracy and relevance of financial models.
Assist Risk department in evaluating risks associated with potential investments, identifying key risk factors, and proposing mitigation strategies to minimize potential losses.
Spearhead the effort to reduce results variability, analyzing root causes and driving forecasting improvements.
Conduct thorough "Look Back Analysis" on past investments to evaluate their actual performance against initial projections. Identify key success factors and areas for improvement to enhance future investment strategies
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) are highly advantageous.
Qualifications
Required Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with 12 years of relevant experience or;
Master’s degree in similar concentration with 8 years of relevant experience
Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
In addition, 2 -3 years’ experience in an energy field, investment banking, or strategic finance role

Compensation Range:
$136,500 - 218,400
We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
