Our goal at The Transplant Pharmacy is to provide the best pharmaceutical care in the country, and we are looking for a pharmacy technician to join us in Flowood, Mississippi, and help us maintain that mission.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains relationships with patients. Need to be organized individually to keep track of upcoming patient refills to ensure patients' medications are filled and received in a timely fashion. Helps patients obtain copay assistance where applicable. Communicates copays to patients and receives approval before billing. Assures all requests and payments are complete before processing orders. Fill/count prescriptions accurately and efficiently. Help with inventory management (including inputting daily invoices and drug product scanning as well as putting up daily orders). Follow all aspects of accreditation and compliance as related to specialty pharmacy accreditations, including audits and accreditation visits. Work collaboratively with team members to achieve the goals of the company. Commitment to providing exceptional patient care that makes patients feel important and appreciated. Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal laws and guidelines, including HIPAA, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (Medicare), and DEA Procedures. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

: Active state licensure (Mississippi Board of Pharmacy) with no disciplinary action. Baseline proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.) Must possess the ability to work collaboratively in accomplishing tasks, as well as effectively communicating with fellow members of the pharmacy staff. Team-oriented individuals that excel at seeing needs, stepping in, and fulfilling the needed tasks, however big or small they may be. Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to increase clinical knowledge. Proficiency in PioneerRx is preferred but not required. Retail Specialty Pharmacy experience is preferred but not required. Experience with URAC and/or ACHC accreditation is preferred but not required
