Basic Job Functions:

The Multi-Craft maintenance Technician will provide electrical and mechanical maintenance support for shredder, shear, and baler operations. Perform preventative maintenance and make repairs as needed to ensure continuous production. [[cust_safetyState]]

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in at least two maintenance trades.

• Must be available to work either shifts and/or nights.

• Mechanical Knowledge - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses or repairs and/or maintenance.

• Maintenance Systems & Techniques - Knowledge of servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts and equipment.

• Problem Solving - Identifying problems and analyzing or reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

• Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work - Developing specific goals and plans for prioritizing, organizing, and accomplishing individual work and/or the work of the team.

• Teamwork - Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.

• Initiative - Being proactive with seeking out work that needs to be done and being willing to take on responsibilities and challenges.

• Environmental - Promotes environmental stewardship while maintaining compliance in all areas of the site through conformance with Nucor's environmental program. This includes reviewing and implementing environmental technical standards and policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-4 year degree in electrical, mechanical, welding or other maintenance trade.

• Mobile equipment maintenance experience.

Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
