Pinelake Church Director of Pinelake School of Ministry (One Church Team) in Flowood, Mississippi

SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Director of Pinelake School of Ministry is to provide spiritual, visionary, team-based, value-driven leadership for Pinelake Church's Ministry Residency and Internship programs in a manner consistent with the purpose, vision, core values and major objectives. This role provides development, planning, execution and oversight of Pinelake's Residency and Internship in collaboration with the Lead Pastor of Ministry, the One Church Team, and Campus Ministry Teams.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.

  • Assists other staff members, when needed, to support teamwork and contribute to the successful completion of their objectives and strategies.

  • Basic personal responsibilities:

  • Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation and practicing L3.

  • Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).

  • Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.

  • Maintain active participation in community.

  • Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.

  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).

    SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Pinelake's residency and internship ministries while receiving direction from the Lead Pastor of Ministry and experiential insight from applicable College Pastors and Campus Pastors.

  • Plan and execute recruitment strategy for all residency and internship programs to include the ministry residents as well as summer internship programs coordinating with campus leadership and informing staff recruiting personnel .

  • Oversee Pinelake's Residency and Summer Internship program through planning, promotion, interviewing, placement, and daily leadership to ensure that Pinelake is best poised to invest in residents and interns and send them out for kingdom impact.

  • Develop and provide training and assimilation experience for all residency and internship programs.

  • For residents, develop and deliver a strategic growth plan collectively and personally to provide opportunities to grow spiritually, professionally and personally.

  • Develop ministry calendar for all residency and internship programs.

  • Equip, coach, and mentor residents and interns for the purpose of spiritual and professional development through group intensives and individual 1-on-1 sessions.

  • Train, equip coordinate and collaborate with ministry leaders of residents and interns.

  • Develop orientation and assimilation plans for residents and interns providing unique training and experiences as warranted to the age and experience demographic of the group.

  • Develop and oversee ministry budget for the residency and internships.

  • Perform administrative duties such as compiling reports, preparing expense reports and completing purchasing orders as specified by church policy.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises residents and interns as a part of the overall programs. Works in coordination with ministry team leaders who provide daily oversight to these staff members.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree minimum; advance degree recommended. Six to eight years of related experience with specific emphasis in working development and growth of a staff. Competitive candidates will have successful experience in working with college students.
