Krauss-Maffei Corporation in Florence, KY seeks Technical Services Specialist to virtually support customers, customer care managers, and field service engineers by utilizing tools, including SAP, Innosoft, Service Update, and Team Viewer to systematically analyze, troubleshoot, and restore function to KraussMaffei injection molding and automation equipment. Schedule and facilitate project meetings with customer care managers, field service engineers, and customers. Read schematics in German in order to provide machine details for root cause problem solving and project planning. Support customer care team as subject matter expert to identify factors within customer operating context that may result in scope modification, change orders, or added costs for field service work and projects. Review project plans created by customer care manager and propose modifications to project plans. Consult with German speaking engineers at KraussMaffei's affiliates located in Germany to receive direct from factory support. When needed, take a leading role in complex job planning, including serving as field service lead on site repairs, machine relocations, and retrofits. Monitor performance of project team members and provide performance feedback to project team supervisors. Monitor project milestones and deliverables. This position requires up to 40% travel, including 35% domestic travel to customer sites, demonstrations, and conferences in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. and 5% international travel to customer sites, conferences, and other KraussMaffei Group locations. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.Requires: (1) a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or as Field Service Technician, Field Service Engineer, Service Coordinator, or closely related occupations OR (2) 8 years of experience in the job offered or as Field Service Technician, Field Service Engineer, Service Coordinator, or closely related occupations. The required experience must include: (i)5 years of experience providing on-site field service or onsite commissioning service for injection molding or automation equipment; (ii)3 years of experience coordinating field service of injection molding or automation equipment; (iii)3 years of experience using software to remotely connect to injection molding or automation equipment in the field and access, schematics, drawings, and technical data; and (iv)3 years of experience analyzing and troubleshooting Siemens, Baumuller, and KEB variable frequency drives used in injection molding or automation equipment.
