SUMMARY Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the contracted Guard Force

  • Troubleshoots security system problems and correct where possible.

  • Perform all key related work such as re-keying of doors, repairing locks, making spare keys, etc.

  • Assists Security Manager to oversee any new installation of security equipment.

  • Trouble shoot and assists other Global facilities with Security programming issues.

  • Must be familiar with the various components of the access control and CCTV systems in order to extract information from the system.

  • Ensure software upgrades on systems are done in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that all security systems are operational and personnel perform scheduled checks.

  • Reviews computer logs and videos and messages for management and oversees the officers doing the reviews in a timely manner.

  • Coordinates, documents, and reports on internal investigations of possible security violations.

  • Works with law enforcement and legal representatives in investigations of possible security violations

  • Also, must be proficient in the basic operation of the CCTV recording system and its use.

  • Analyzes, selects, recommends, and coordinates installation of security locks, alarm systems, and other security equipment. Investigates new equipment to maintain the best security at Jabil.

  • Develop simplified instructions for the operation of security system.

  • Oversees the installation of new equipment.

  • Track all warranties on equipment.

  • Develop simple instructional procedures for all security related equipment.

  • Assigns and maintains forms and reports.

  • Keep phone lists and other operational lists up to date.

  • Maintain a running spreadsheet of Security expenses.

  • Complete purchase orders requests as needed for security related items.

  • Maintain a running spreadsheet of departmental spending.

  • Will maintain Key records.

  • Will control the keys for Office, lockers, desks, etc.

  • Update layouts pertaining to security equipment and placement.

  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.

  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s degree in related field preferred.

  • Six months to one year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • The employee is frequently required to walk, and to lift and carry PC’s and test equipment weighing up to 15lbs.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of time.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Individual’s primary workstation is located in the office area, with some time spent each day on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in the work environment ranges from low to moderate.
