Job Title: Machinist
Job Description
As a Machinist, your primary role will be setting up and operating computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines. You may also operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and profile machines. Your work will be diversified, and you will perform machining to ordinary tolerances. You will be responsible for monitoring your work to ensure that the machine is operating properly. Your tasks will involve working from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts, as well as making repairs to existing parts and equipment.
Hard Skills
Operating CNC machines
Operating manual machines such as lathes, mills, and profile machines
Working from blueprints, sketches, damaged parts, or descriptions of parts
Computing cutting speeds, feed rates and dimensions
Preparing and pre-setting all tools needed for machining operations
Rigging and transporting large parts and equipment by crane
Inspecting machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications
Performing housekeeping of machine and work area
Daily maintenance check of machine
Soft Skills
Ability to work from drawings and written instructions
Ability to monitor work to ensure machine is operating properly
Ability to perform diverse tasks
Attention to detail in inspecting machined work pieces
Job Type
This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

This is a fully on-site position in Walton, KY
