Overview

The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of information technology systems within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, industry best practices, and technology trends to ensure the effective and efficient operation of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.

• Technology Leadership: Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of IT systems and infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and HITRUST, and maintain compliance with industry standards.

• Data Management: Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility.

• Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, including capital expenditures and operational costs.

• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.

• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality of service.

• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate IT risks, including cybersecurity threats and data breaches.

• Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in IT management, preferably in the healthcare industry.

• Proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and team leadership.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Technical proficiency in various IT systems and technologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
