Salary Range:$23.6608 To 29.5759 Hourly

General Statement:

Under the direction of the Billing/Claims Supervisor, performs a variety of tasks in centralizing and monitoring the appropriateness of procedure and diagnosis coding for each Genesee Health System client encounter, and must ensure the claims for clients are an accurate representation of services rendered. Must also audit to ensure all federal and state guidelines are followed by both the internal and external provider; performs related work as required. 

Minimum Requirements: 

Associate's degree in a health related field AND certification as a CPC and/or RHIT and/or CCS-P AND one (1) year experience in ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding. 

OR 

High school graduation or equivalent AND certification as a CPC AND three (3) years' experience in ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding. Preferences: Medical records and auditing experience.
