Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Project Design and Planning : Develop and review detailed designs and plans for infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, water systems, and buildings. Ensure that designs meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.

  2. Site Assessment and Analysis : Conduct site investigations to gather data on soil conditions, topography, and environmental impact. Use this information to inform project design and feasibility.

  3. Project Management : Oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

  4. Compliance and Safety : Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards. Implement and monitor safety protocols on-site to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

  5. Budgeting and Cost Control : Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and financial reporting. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures as necessary.

  6. Technical Analysis and Problem Solving : Use engineering principles and software tools to analyze technical problems and develop effective solutions. Provide expert advice on complex engineering issues.

  7. Communication and Collaboration : Work closely with clients, architects, urban planners, and other engineers to ensure project goals are met. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and technical documents.

  8. Quality Assurance : Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure that construction work meets specified standards and project requirements. Address any issues or deficiencies promptly.

  9. Innovation and Improvement : Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices. Implement innovative solutions to improve project efficiency and performance.

  10. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of project progress, changes, and engineering decisions. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Institution.

• Experience in Land Development and site design is desired.

• Proficient familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.

• Strong organizational, analytical, communication and design skills.
