Aston Carter Track Coordinator in Flat Rock, Michigan

Description:

  • Responsible for day-to-day test track operations.

  • Maintain test surfaces and test surface operating systems.

  • Maintain or cause to be maintained the continuing appearance/neatness of the facility.

  • Maintain or cause to be maintained all facility support vehicles and equipment.

  • Coordinate and schedule the activities of all user groups and rentals to assure safety, facility availability, and smooth facility operation.

  • Specify and procure necessary supplies for test track operations.

  • Conduct the scheduled and approved project related facility work.

  • Coordinate, schedule and conduct emergency drills with local authorities.

  • Support, coordinate and manage capital projects (buildings, surfaces).

  • Suggest facility improvements in terms of equipment, procedures, surfaces, and safe working practices.

  • Train additional personnel as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must possess good interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external customers and vendors.

  • Good general working knowledge of vehicles and equipment (Tractor, Water Truck, Sweepster, Plow Truck).

  • Must have valid MI state driver’s license

  • Certified EMT/Fireman preferred

  • Requires travel to off-site locations (flying/driving).

  • Must be self-motivated and mechanically inclined.

  • Good general working knowledge of vehicles and equipment.

  • Available to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed

  • Reaching & lifting 40 lbs. routinely moving ballast, equipment, tires and rims.

  • Computer skills, professional writing, creative thinking, and verbal skills.

  • Must be willing to obtain BERT (Bosch Emergency Response Training) or MFR (Medical First Responder) certification
