Special Information

  • This position is posted as College Recruiter, Senior which is a working title. The NAU system title for this position is Academic Program Coordinator, Senior.
  • This position can be based in Phoenix, Arizona at the Phoenix Biomedial Campus, or in Flagstaff, Arizona at the Flagstaff Mountain Campus.
  • Frequent travel will be required, in-state travel and out of state.

Job Description

The College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) is hiring a College Recruiter, Senior to partner closely with program faculty and staff to support the marketing and recruitment of all CHHS graduate programs throughout the state, building a pipeline from middle schools, high schools, community colleges, undergrads to CHHS graduate programs and focusing on national and local recruitment opportunities. This position will directly work with CHHS Chairs and staff for programs of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Programs, Health Sciences, Communication Disorders and Dental Hygiene. This position will be responsible for facilitating the recruitment of prospective students, hosting information sessions and conducting campus visits, community visits and attending other marketing or recruitment events in support of increasing student enrollment for CHHS graduate programs.

Student Recruitment - 50%

  • Recruit students to CHHS graduate programs, by way of NAU undergraduate programs, graduate fairs, and more statewide and throughout the US as needed.
  • Coordinate with NAU Enrollment Management regarding events, recruitment opportunities, etc. including CHHS presence at Gold Tours, Discover NAU Events, FUSD Day, College Receptions, and more.
  • Work closely with the admissions team to ensure a smooth transition of recruited students from the application phase to enrollment.
  • Represent CHHS programs at student recruitment events and produce social media videos about career pathways and career events while out in the community.
  • Cultivate relationships with education programs, pre-health clubs, pre-health advising, internal NAU departments and colleges, career coordinators, the Career Center, and other health-related programs in rural and underserved communities that serve the mission of NAU and CHHS.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of recruitment materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content, to effectively promote the college to prospective students.
  • Assist in developing prospective student communications, tours, programmatic advisement resources, guides, etc.
  • Promote and coordinate on and off-campus recruitment programs for prospective students, including campus visits, information sessions, application workshops, and community partnerships.
  • May provide guidance and support to prospective students throughout the recruitment process, addressing their questions, concerns, and providing information on program requirements.
  • Travel to NAU campuses required (Flagstaff, Phoenix, Yuma), travel in-state and out of state will occur, occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.

Student Pipeline Development - 45%

  • Build a pipeline of students to CHHS graduate programs, by way of community colleges, high schools and middle schools, statewide and throughout the US as needed.
  • Build relationships and identify opportunities to work with dual enrollment providers who offer college credit in health-related fields to high school students.
  • Identify and coordinate pipeline programs, community events, and other front-facing programming to expand the footprint of NAU CHHS programs to build a graduate student pipeline, statewide and throughout the US as needed.

Other - 5%

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in higher education working with students.
  • A combination of related education, experience and training may be used as an equivalent to the educational Minimum Requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master\'s degree in relevant field.
  • Experience working with higher education, graduate programs, recruitment, or admissions in higher education.
  • Experience with career fairs or other large scale recruitment efforts and events.
