Role: What will I be doing?

Program Manager will be responsible for crafting and maintaining metrics and Key Performance Indicators that accurately measure capacity of skills, product SKUs, and driving interlocks with other organizational units within Splunk. You are required to be proficient in Scrum methodologies and must be comfortable using Jira to supervise progress. You must be a strong collaborator, excellent communicator, full of ideas, and be confident in leading change management and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

  • Conceive, develop, and implement new programs and improve the quality of existing offerings and processes to support the Professional Services organization’s strategic goals

  • Adaptable while Splunk transforms its business

  • Query Salesforce and analyze data to identify trends and report metrics

  • Apply the concepts of project management, ITIL, and continuous process improvement

  • Establish “The Definition of Done” for project tasks and manage expectations for stakeholders, points of contact, and the PSLT

  • Lead difficult conversations professionally and apply judgment to assess urgency and prioritize efforts in alignment with organizational goals

  • Champion and manage multiple critical initiatives, collaborate across a wide range of team members, maintain attention to quality and detail (good enough won’t fly here), hold yourself accountable to the expectations you set;

  • Represent and advocate for the organization in cross-functional initiatives and discussions

  • Keep in close touch with the Manager for the assigned tasks; communication is 80% of your success

Requirements

  • 5-8 years proven experience in project and program management, either supporting for delivering for a professional services organization

  • Experience working with JIRA

  • Experience must include the management of expectations and duties beyond the basic precepts of project or program management

  • Must understand the customer life cycle, what customers expect, and how professional services organizations should care for their internal resources and customers

  • Project/program management certification, systems engineering, customer success management, or ITIL certification, a plus; certification in quality management is also a plus (such as Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma)

  • In-depth understanding of professional services organizations and how they work in a SaaS model

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $132,000.00 - 181,500.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $118,800.00 - 163,350.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $105,600.00 - 145,200.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
