Description:

The Associate Director, Key Accounts Health Systems leads the IDN account strategy and implementation plan for Rytary and any other future specialty products. The Associate Director, Key Accounts Health Systems is a proven and experienced leader working closely with Region Business Managers (RBM), Specialty Sales Representatives (SSR) and key internal stakeholders, including the medical and brand teams. The Associate Director is responsible for prioritization of assigned health systems to create formulary access for Rytary along with inpatient implementation within health system E- prescribing platforms, outpatient specialty pharmacies. This role is also responsible for developing and guiding successful Specialty Sales Representative pull-through strategies in assigned health systems and Centers of Excellence (COEs). The Associate Director is accountable for business performance consistent with Amneal compliance standards as well as applicable requirements within assigned health systems and Centers of Excellence. This position will report to the National Director – IDN/Health Systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Expand formulary access for all IDN products in assigned health systems by leveraging expertise and knowledge of Parkinson’s disease, marketplace competitors and industry knowledge to effectively manage business opportunities and overcome challenges to formulary additions within assigned heath system accounts. To increase advocacy across health system accounts, develop enduring professional relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in Neurology and with Parkinson's Quality and Outcomes Directors, inpatient and outpatient specialty pharmacies, Movement Disorder Specialists, administrative personnel, RNs, PAs, and Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee members. Ensure formulary acceptance and adoption of products for inpatient and outpatient populations. Consistently communicate with Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) to coordinate inpatient/outpatient clinical in-service opportunities pre- and post- formulary acceptance. Ensure appropriate placement of Rytary on Parkinson disease protocols and pathway algorithms in assigned health system accounts.

  • Understand Parkinson’s Disease Centers of Excellence, IDN structure, Pharmacy &Therapeutics process, treatment guidelines, discharge protocols, and the inpatien0t and outpatient reimbursement process. Define the appropriate local market contracting strategy within assigned IDNs/COEs through collaboration with the payer, pricing and contracting team. Understand intra-system dynamics in Parkinson’s disease. Understand inpatient and outpatient Parkinson’s disease management protocols. Work closely with the Parkinson’s Foundation to gain an understanding of PD readmission rates and treatment protocols in targeted COEs and IDNs. Understand the health system’s performance versus quality metric expectations. Work closely with system thought leaders to understand Parkinson’s disease management and outcomes priorities. Present appropriate economic and outcomes data to targeted customers when requested. Complete relationship mapping of key players within COEs and IDNs to influence Movement Disorder Specialists in the local market. Identify patient support solutions for assigned local markets through collaboration with COEs and health systems.

  • Prioritize time and resources to ensure optimal coverage of health systems and inpatient and outpatient physicians in assigned accounts based on importance to the systems decision-making process and or patient care. Develop strategies and implement said strategies for assigned health systems. Understand health systems and local market priorities, identify barriers, and develop solutions for improved patient access to Rytary. Develop and manage health system specific business plans for inpatient and outpatient strategies. Analyze and assess Amneal strategies according to account priorities, in the context of cost, outcomes, and quality, to match the needs of customers and patients. Establish consistent health system access and compliantly influencing customers. Understand Parkinson’s disease challenges and sharing collaborative solutions to improve patient outcomes. Maintain current business plans and share those plans with the Amneal Market Access team.

  • Communicate and collaborate with local teams (RBMs, MSLs, and SSRs) for all assigned health system accounts regarding the strategic approach to gain Rytary formulary access. Utilize internal resources based on lifecycle adoption of Rytary in health system accounts. Act as a liaison between Medical and Key Opinion Leaders. Act as a liaison between central pharmacy and outpatient physicians within targeted health system accounts. Engage regional and national stakeholders to gain and share valuable input into territory and regional commercial plans. Engage Sales Leadership, the Brand Team, and Commercial Operations to ensure access to appropriate resources. Coordinate pull-through strategies with RBMs and SSRs.
