Business Unit Overview

8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm. Responsibilities Quality Assurance (QA) Information Technician Key Results Areas: The position, which reports to a QA Supervisor, is responsible for recording test results consistently. Additionally, this position will be required to perform miscellaneous tests throughout the plant that include: visual inspections, Equipment Tests, and Chemical Tests. A large percentage of this position will include data entry. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and supervisor. Must be able to observe process and identify problems before they occur. Food Safety Production Areas Notify Supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are needed. Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Perform all duties necessary to meet American Institute of Baking (AIB), Company, and or Government requirements / standards as prioritized by the Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become non-compliant with specification and place on hold per HOLD SOP Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been addressed Have ability to work in Microsoft Office programs up to and including Office, Excel, Access, Outlook and Power Point Working Relationship: Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with department, company, and experience in a team-oriented environment is required. Associate degree or Technical Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred, but not required. Physical Demands: Fine hand manipulations Pulling, twisting, and bending Climbing of ladders and steps Occasional lifting of heavy objects weighing 30 – 50 lbs. Minimum Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED Excellent oral and written communication skills In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs Excel Office Publisher Outlook Access Must have ability to correctly add, subtract, multiply and divide
