Who You Are
Master technician level or equivalent Porsche Technician (7+ years), Porsche Gold Technician preferred
Extensive experience with air cooled Porsches
Ability to diagnose and repair components
Experience in servicing and repairing engines, suspension, clutch, brakes, drive trains, transmissions, and electrical systems
Electrical diagnostic experience including but not limited to vehicle networks
Outstanding technical knowledge with the ability to relay the information to teammates
Good verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to serve as a mentor to less-experienced technicians
Intermediate computer skills required
High school diploma or equivalent
Good driving record and valid driver's license
Able to perform all physical requirements of position
What You'll Do
Perform thorough inspection of customer's vehicle, reporting all required repairs and preventive maintenance
Ability to complete preventative maintenance by inspecting, servicing, and correcting discrepancies in accordance with maintenance policies, directives and advisories
Ability to performs more complex and time-consuming repairs
Identify, diagnose, and resolve customer's mechanical and electrical concerns per manufacturer's specification and guidelines
Use various types of electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment to test, evaluate, and validate vehicle systems
Installing and setting up both engine and suspension performance upgrades
Perform full tear downs, repairs, assemblies, and upgrades to vehicles
Design, build, and/or create necessary vehicle components, including hoses, brackets and wiring harnesses
Successfully install custom, add-on, and/or specialized equipment for each assigned vehicle after identifying the appropriate methods and locations.
Perform full component and subassembly tasks such as suspension, brakes, powertrain installation and removal, mounting and balancing tires, and interior installation/removal
Recommend and source stock parts and customized parts for projects
Completes work order documents noting time, parts and supplies used
Reports work status and special problems to service manager in a timely fashion
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with managers, coworkers, and other departments
Maintain a clean, safe working environment
